Sagada’s Lake Danum

Sagada is a town in the Cordillera Mountains, within the Philippines’ Mountain Province and Lake Danum is one of its landmarks where people usually bid goodbye to a great day. It is one of the ideal place to go if you want to be at peace with the nature as you await the setting sun over the mountains of Ampacao.

Lake Danum is located along the western part of Sagada near the town of Besao; a 4 kilometers away from the town center of Sagada, and you must be there at least 30 minutes before the sun sets to enjoy the view.  It is a small lake surrounded by pine trees with a relaxing atmosphere, nice sunset.. and some carabao shit! Ahw unsa bah oie!? Just kidding hehe

A must-try when you visit Lake Danum in Sagada is Shifrayah’s Yogurt for only P35.00 each or 3 for P100.00 😉 They served the best damn yogurt I’ve ever had!

Dumog Sandbar

A beautiful summer getaway with pristine stretch of white sand and crystal-clear waters located in Tubigon, Bohol near Bilangbilangan Island. It is said to be an extension of the island where Tito Obguia founded and developed the place.

Best time to visit is in the morning when it was low tide for you can see its sand that stretches for a hundred meters off sea. The tide usually goes up at noon, and this beautiful islet goes below a few inches of water which gives a different kind of fun as well.

It is a paradise waiting to be discovered way back 2010 (as seen on the pictures). Sad to say that people were stealing tons of sand from this islet leading to the point that some stretches of the sandbar disappear.
